Certificate in Computer Applications (CCA)  
Objectives
 
The Certificate in Computer Applications (CCA) course provides students with the fundamental knowledge and skills to use computers in a modern business environment. Students will receive a certificate on successful completion of the course. Students enrolled for the CCA will be allowed to appear for the International Computer Driving Licence (Starter) Examination administered by the Australian Computer Society (ACS). Completion of the CCA will enable you to enroll in the Certificate in Computing (CIC) with four subjects’ advanced standing.
 
Entry Requirements
 
A Grade 10 or equivalent certificate or,
3 years work experience in the field of Computing
 
Registration
 
Students must register by the last working day prior to the date of commencement. Please check our advertisement in the 'The National'/ Post-Courier daily newspapers for the date of commencement.
 
Duration
 
18 weeks, 8 - 16 hours per week.

The Certificate in Computing (CIC) is designed as a foundation course in computing for students aspiring to be computer professionals.
 
Students enrolled for CIC will be allowed to appear for the International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) Examination administered by the Australian Computer Society (ACS), Australia.
 
Completion of the CIC will enable you to enroll in the IBS Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) / Associate Level Examination of ACS.
