Great Managers & Talented Employees

("First Break All the Rules")

Culture Change LEVEL 2

We developed this programme based on two researchers done by Gallup organization of USA over 25 years. We conducted this program for IBS Supervisors and Managers in 2007. This program is available for corporate clients from February 2008.

The target group is Supervisors and Managers who have already completed the Team Building programme as they would greatly benefit from this, as the second level of Culture change.

Duration: Friday 4.00 pm to Sunday 4.00 pm

Great Managers & Talented Employees

This program is based on a book, "FIRST BREAK ALL THE RULES" written by Marcus Buckingham and Curt Coffman. This book is the product of two mammoth research studies undertaken by the Gallup organization over twenty-five years and publicized first in 1999. The first research concentrated on employees, asking...

"what do the most talented employees need from their workplace?"

Gallup surveyed over a million employees from a broad range of companies, industries and countries. The research yielded many discoveries, but the most powerful discovery was this:

"TALENTED EMPLOYEES NEED GREAT MANAGERS"

This simple discovery led them to the second research effort.

"how do the world’s Greatest Managers find, focus and keep talented employees?"

To answer this question they went to the source – large companies and small companies, privately held companies, publicly traded companies and public sector organizations – and interviewed a cross section of their managers from the excellent to the average. During the twenty five (25) years the Gallup organization has conducted tape recorded (120,000 hours) and transcribed (5 million pages) one and a half hour interviews with over eighty thousand managers.

"what the great managers can offer you are insights into the nature of talent and to their secrets for turning talent into lasting performance"

The Objectives of the programme are:
