Call for Papers
Information for contributors
IBS Journal of Business and Research is an opportunity for writers, readers and the institution’s academic staff to develop a learning community in Papua New Guinea. The Journal encourages dissemination of information; updates institutions and business professionals on latest business and IT developments; acts as a catalyst for business views and academic discourse and promotes a culture of research and publication in IBS.
The Journal welcomes contributions from academics, professionals and researchers in tertiary institutions, businesses and government bodies.
Format for submitted work
All articles are subject to peer review. Articles between 3000-6000 words, including abstract and references, are preferred. Authors should ensure that submitted papers are in 2007 Microsoft Word electronic format. Statistical tables, illustrations and charts should be submitted on separate sheets and their positions indicated in the text. Printing will be in black and white only so charts and graphs should not rely on colour for distinct interpretations.
Articles should be formatted for A4 paper. The top, bottom and side margins should be 2.5 cm. The font to be used is Times New Roman type 12 points (single line shifts). Page numbers will be revised by the Editorial Board of the Journal.
A fifty to seventy five words bibliographical note about the author should accompany the article. The editorial committee has the discretion to request a response to an article. Reviews of recent books in Papua New Guinea should be 900-1500 words in length.
Electronic contributions using Microsoft Word 2007 can be sent via the submit papers form, posted or deliver a hard copy with CD to Institute of Business Studies, P.O. Box 2826, Boroko, NCD 111, Port Moresby. Manuscripts will be acknowledged, and are reviewed anonymously by three referees including at least two members of the advisory board.
Opinions contained in the IBS Journal of Business and Research are those of the author and not those of IBS and the editors. The accuracy and completeness of the references is the responsibility of the author. All cited references must be included in the list of references. The format for citations in text for bibliographic references should follow the American Psychological Association (APA) style.
