Professor Mark Solon, Institute of Business Studies, PNG.
Mark Solon is Professor and Dean Institutional Development at the Institute of Business Studies in Port Moresby. He obtained his PhD from the University of Alberta, Canada and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the University of New England, Armidale, Australia. He has extensive management and teaching experiences. He taught courses for the University of Heidelberg in Germany, Queensland University of Technology, the Department of Education in Republic of Nauru; the University of Papua New Guinea and the University of Goroka. He was Founding Vice Chancellor of the University of Goroka from 1997-2001 and Pro Vice Chancellor, University of Papua New Guinea 1990-1996.
Professor Ronald May, Australian National University
Professor Ron May is Emeritus Professor at the Australian National University (ANU). He was formerly Senior Economists with the Reserve Bank of Australia. Senior Research Fellow at the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies at ANU and Foudation Director at the Institute of Applied Social and Economic Research ( now the National Research Institute). He has written extensively on Papua New Guinea politics and administration and recently edited a volume on Policy Making and Implementation Studies from Papua New Guinea, ANU E/press 2009).
Mr. Ivan Pomaleu, Investment Promotion Authority, PNG.
Mr Ivan Pomelau is Managing Director of the Investment Promotion Authority and was previously Chairman of Securities Commission of PNG and Registrar of Companies. He holds a Master of Business Administration, majoring in international business from Deakin University, Australia and a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in biological sciences from UPNG. His responsibilities include corporate policy and planning; management and board functionalities; regulatory functions of foreign enterprises, business policy research and development with respect to key business policies and deregulation of business regulatory environment. He has significant international business exposure in various capacities. He served as the PNG representative on the Investment Experts Group within of APEC. He led and directed PNGs investment missions to China, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Turkey, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.
