National Highschool Mathematics Competition
IBS has taken an initiative to launch a Mathematics Competition for the students currently attending Grade 9 and 10 in Secondary/ High Schools within the National Capital District (NCD) and in the Central Province.
The competition aims to motivate and boost learners’ interest in the study of mathematics, and to expose students to the relevance of learning mathematics, particularly in the fields of accounting, business and information technology, through elementary number and business mathematics computations deemed fundamental to studies in these fields. The competition will be held in August every year, and will take only one hour. The competition has been very successful and is conducted annually since 2009.
