IBS Diploma in Information Technology
At the end of 2004, after much persuasion by my father, I decided to enrol at the Institute of Business Studies (IBS) in 2005, undertaking the Diploma in Information Technology course. After completing my course successfully at IBS, I was assisted by IBS to do my job training at Kwila Insurance Limited for 6 weeks.
Instead of spending 6 weeks, I completed 3 months probation with Kwila Insurance Corporation Limited in their IT Department. This would not have been possible without the help of the wonderful staff at IBS. I have since moved on from Kwila Insurance and am currently employed as a Test Analyst in the IT section with the Bank of South Pacific.
I am thoroughly enjoying my work in the IT field. It is an exciting field to be working in and with changes happening in the IT field every day, I find that I have to be constantly up to date with the changes. This was the phrase our IT lecturers used by everyday.
Studying at IBS has not only helped me educationally, but as also changed the way I look at life in general. I can now say that I am more confident and am always ready to face the various challenging issues facing me personally, professionally and socially.
IBS fosters an excellent study environment, where not only do the students acquire valuable subject knowledge but they also get to mingle with a diverse number of students who are already in the workforce. I feel that this makes learning more stimulating and interesting.
I would personally encourage anyone to consider the option of studying at the Institute of Business Studies as it has a proven record of providing quality education with its dedicated and wonderful teaching and support staff.

I always wanted to complete my bachelor degree in Accounting. and when I heard about IBS offering the course, I decided to enquire and apply. After 10 years of working, I decided to find an institution closer to home and work.
When I got accepted into IBS, it was no turning back for me as the institution was close and I did not have to leave work or my family. The courses offered are of high standard and prepares graduates to meet the real challenges and demands of the workplace.
My employer Aon Hewitt had been supportive by sponsoring me to complete my studies with IBS.
Working for a global organisation brings with it different challenges. By having an added qualification I was prepared for the many new challenges in the next level of my career.
The institute provided a conducive study environment which is evident in the excellent facilities, enabling students to focus as well as interact with like-minded individuals.
The academic and support staff were very helpful and were always available when one needed help.
For me, when I finally completed my degree, it was a dream come true. I started this at the University of Technology (18) years ago and was not able to complete it hence left school and found a job.
Thanks to IBS for giving me the opportunity to complete what I did not achieve then.
