Wala obtained her Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) degree in 1992 from the University of Papua New Guinea. After one year work experience, she returned in 1994 and obtained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education. {showhide template="h5" title="read more..." changetitle="close..." mousetitleistitle=true link=false closeonclick=true}Her passion for teaching was born during her final year of undergraduate studies when she served as a Mathematics Tutor for the then Adult Matriculation Course offered by UPNG, now being offered through the UPNG Open Colleges. She has taught Grade 11 and 12 Mathematics (both Maths A and B) at National High School level, and Grades 9-11 Mathematics at Port Moresby Grammar School. While there, she also served as a Tutor/Marker for Grades 7 – 10 Mathematics for the then, College of Distance Education (CODE). In 2007 she served as a part-time lecturer at Port Moresby Business College delivering Business Mathematics and Statistics courses. She initially joined IBS in 1998. She served as a lecturer teaching Business Mathematics, Business Statistics, Say It With Figures, Applied Finite Maths. She is happy to be back after being away for nearly six years. She has rejoined the School of Accounting and Finance teaching Basic Accounting courses. {/showhide} |
