IBS Journal of Business
IBS Journal of Business is another step forward in academic development. This Journal would serve a purpose and need in the market environment. The main focus of this journal is to address the current business and development issues and their effect in PNG and South Pacific Region. There are a number of established journals published by other Universities and Research Institutes in PNG just to mention a few, UPNG, NRI, UOG, UOV, and PAU. In this line, IBS Journal of Business has a strategic market and forum namely, to address business and development issues.

An in-country research was conducted to see what specific journals are being published and circulated. We also considered what their Mission Statements and other relevant information needed to assist IBS determine the viability of another Journal that focuses on Business development and IT. Therefore, it was more appropriate for IBS to consider producing a Journal of Business.

The objectives of the IBS Journal of Business are:
* To disseminate information about modern-day business activities;
* To encourage industrialists and academicians to publish information via the Business Journal
* To keep abreast institutions and business professionals on latest business and IT developments, and
* To be a catalyst for business views and academic discourse
Editorial Board

The Board serves to edit and approve articles to be featured in the Journal. The Editorial Board consists of:

* Dr Ron May – Australian National University (ANU)
* Dr Mohammed Kutpudeen PhD – Institute of Business Studies (IBS)
* Mr Russel Soaba – University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG)
* Mr Jim Robbins – National Research Institute (NRI)
* Mr Ivan Pomaleu – Investment Promotion Authority (IPA)
* Mr A R (Tony) Witham – FINCORP (POM CC&I)
The journal will include contributions of articles based on the above and will come from academicians and professionals in tertiary institutions and business. This journal of Business will be published biannually and circulated widely within the Asia Pacific region and it would attract a broader audience in the years ahead.
